BMW India is one of the most prominent luxury car makers in Indian Luxury Car segment.  Now the BMW India is planning to launch its premium hatchback Mini in the country. The President of BMW India, Dr Andreas Schaaf hinted during the launch of the BMW X3 series in Pune to introduce the new brand in India and some latest reports confirm that BMW will be launching its Mini hatchback by 2012.

The price of new BMW Mini is expected to be in the range of Rs 18 lakhs. The company will bring a premium hatchback with four seats. BMW has called all its Indian dealers to the Frankfurt Motor Show for a test drive of its new brand BMW Mini. The company has taken the feedback from the dealers about the practicability of the new hatchback.

BMW India offers several cars of its customers, including BMW X1, BMW X3, BMW X5, BMW X6, BMW Z4, BMW 3 series, BMW 5 series, BMW 6 series and BMW 7 series.

According to Schaaf, India accounted for being Asia’s 3rd largest auto market with an increasing demand for luxury vehicles. BMW is the premier car manufacturer in this segment for the last few years with a share of over 40 percent.
