Mahindra SsangYong Korando is perfect example of the synergized work between parent company Mahindra and acquired South Korean automobile brand SsangYong Motor Corporation Limited.

The SsangYong Korando was initially produced from 1983-2006 in South Korea. The Korando was named by confining ‘Korea Can Do’. The concept model of the revived Korando was launched at the international automotive event, Frankfurt Motor Show 2011.

Korea’s leading auto manufacturer, SsangYong Motor Corporation Limited tie-up with India’s Mahindra & Mahindra for offering their second product in the India called the Mahindra SsangYong Rexton. The Mahindra SsangYong Rexton is a seven-seater full grown SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) that was recently introduced at the 2012 Auto Expo in New Delhi. The car is designed by the studio of world famous Italian designer, Giorgietto Giugiaro.

The Mahindra SsangYong Rexton is expected to hit the Indian roads by second quarter of 2012.

Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) has under a serious attempt and developed the global product of this XUV500 with which gives a local appeal. There motto says “think local go global”. Mahindra XUV500 is pronounced to be ‘five double oh’ which the most ambitious SUV for M&M.

This XUV500 is the model developed with the inspiration of that known as Scorpio. However it’s a leap forward model of the Scorpio. This XUV is their first serious attempt for a global product in the history of Indian car makers.

India’s largest SUV maker Mahindra & Mahindra had launched its Xylo in January 2009 and now the company is planning to introduce a small version of Xylo known as “Mini Xylo” in the Indian market. According to recent reports, Mahindra Mini Xylo will be released in Auto Expo 2012. This is to be expected that this new compact version will bear all the specifications of its parent version.

The Mini Xylo will be less than 4 meters in length and will have a 1.5L diesel engine.

The Indian SUV specialist Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd (M&M) has officially confirmed that it will unveil its much awaited Global SUV the Mahindra XUV 500 in Pune, which is pronounced as “XUV5 double ohh”. Mahindra XUV 500 is truly a global car and designed and developed completely in-house by Mahindra. The design of new SUV has received inputs from customers across the world.

According to media report, the Mahindra XUV 500 car will be released in the last week of September.

India’s largest Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacture, Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Private Limited is likely to introduce first electric car – the Mahindra REVA NXR in 2012. The full-sized four-seated electric car Mahindra REVA NXR will provide a solution to petrol price hikes.

According to the chief of Mahindra Reva project, Mr. R Chandramouli, the company will build 30.000 units of Mahindra REVA NXR by the end of this year and the sale of these cars will be commenced from next year.

Mahindra and Mahindra is well-known for providing high end SUVs like Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra Bolero to its consumers. Now the company is going to unveil new SUV called Mahindra Rexton II in the Indian market in first half of 2012. The Mahindra Rexton II SUV was spotted on the roads of Maharashtra, near Chakan area, Pune for testing.

Actually, the new Mahindra Rexton II is an old school type of SUV and it is based on tried and tested techniques of the first generation Mercedes-Benz M-class.
