Maruti Suzuki is to launch its much awaited new mini SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) model in Indian market – the Maruti Suzuki Jimny. The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is likely to hit the Indian roads by the end of the year 2011. The car has already been sold in Japan and European countries.

In India, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny sedan will be available in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol version is powered by 1.3L M13A DOHC engine with a max power of 80 bhp and max torque of 110 Nm while the diesel version comes powered with a 1.5L engine that generates 65 bhp of peak power and 160 Nm of max torque.
