Mercedes Benz S Class Art Edition launched at Saffronart art auction

The global premiere automobile brand Mercedes Benz has introduced a limited edition of its Mercedes Benz S Class with Saffronart art in Mumbai. The new edition is called Mercedes Benz S Class Art Edition and the price of the marsterpiece edition in India is around Rs 1.14 crore. Saffronart art is an Indian art online auction company. The new car has been crafted specially for Saffronart’s annual Autumn Online Auction of Modern & Contemporary Indian Art.

Mercedes-Benz plans to unveil compact cars in India by 2012

The German luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz is going to introduce its compact model car in the Indian market by the end of the 2012. The car would be unveiled globally later this year in Europe. The managing director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, Peter Honegg informed, “Initially, cars with Left Hand Drive option, manufactured at our facilities in Germany and Hungary, will be introduced in Europe later this year. We plan to bring them to India by 2012-13 as Completely Knocked Down units.”

The Germany based auto giant Marcedes-Benz is the first luxury car maker to introduce “cars on lease” process in India at the end of 2011. The leasing of a brand new luxury car concept is comparatively new to India but has been popular business abroad. The customer can take a Mercedes car on lease very easily as the company will start its services from thereon.

Mercedes-Benz India (MBI) plans to lease out the Mercedes cars to corporate parties or companies only and once the business is well established, the idea will be spread out to the individuals.
