After huge success of its small car Nissan Micra, Nissan Motors is all set to introduce a Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) in the Indian auto market named Nissan NV200. The Nissan NV200 was first shown as the NV200 Concept at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2007. It has been awarded the “International Van of the year 2010”.

New Nissan NV200 compact van is designed for perfection. It is designed by the joint venture of Nissan Design Center (NDC) Japan and Nissan Design Europe.

Nissan Pixo is the ‘Sister Car’ to the Suzuki Alto, featuring a few differences such as the main grille and headlamps. The Japanese automaker Nissan has tied-up with Suzuki for the development of new Pixo on the base of Suzuki’s popular hatchback A-star. As per the report, the new Nissan Pixo will be developed in India and exported to other countries.

Nissan Pixo is likely to be powered by a 998cc, KB-series 3-cylinder all-alloy 12-valve petrol engine along with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Earlier, the Nissan Sunny Sedan was launched in India but the company had launched only the petrol version of Nissan Sunny. The petrol variant was priced from Rs 5.8 lakh to Rs 7.8 lakh. Now the Japanese car maker Nissan is planning to introduce the diesel version for Indian market. Nissan Sunny is available in 3 variants – XL, XE and XV and it can produce the mileage of 16.95 kmpl.

It was expected that the diesel version of Nissan Sunny Sedan will be unveiled at Auto Expo 2011 in Delhi but the company will launch the new Sedan in this festive season to get some extra point.

Japanese automaker Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) has launched its premium vehicle offering for the mid size segment in India, the new Nissan “SUNNY”. The new Nissan SUNNY will hit the Indian market in the next few months to coincide with the festive season. According to the company, they are studying the opportunity to launch a small car in the Indian market.

Nissan Motor India’s Managing Director and Chief Executive, Kiminobu Tokuyama told, “We are launching the new saloon Sunny in October to coincide with the festive season.
