Hyundai Motor India Ltd has launched the new Hyundai Sonata sedan in the Indian market. The variant with manual transmission will be available at Rs 18,52,979 while the model with automatic transmission will be available with the price tag of Rs 20,61,272. The car was showcased at the Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi.

Recently, the new Hyundai Sonata was honoured with ‘2012 IIHS Top Safety Pick’ award. The new sedan is blessed with many features, including high intensity Xenon headlamps, 10 way adjustable power seat, paddle shift, front seat warmers, traction control system, ABS with EBD, 6 airbags, ESP, smart key entry and many more.

New Hyundai Sonata comes loaded with a powerful 2.4L of GDI petrol engine that produces 198 bhp of peak power at 6300 rpm. The petrol engine is mated with the 6 speed automatic and manual transmission with paddle shifters. The engine gives a decent fuel efficiency of 13.5 kmpl from version with manual transmission while 12 kmpl from variant with automatic transmission.

New Hyundai Sonata has an impressive exteriors as well as comfortable and chic interiors. The car comes in four shades, including Icy Blue, Silky Beige, Diamond Black and Space Silver.
