Schaeffler, an automotive components manufacturer has unveiled a concept car for Indian roads that according to him has the highest fuel efficiency.

As per the company, it had tested the technology of the car in Germany and it could be applied across a range of cars, said Mr Joydeep Roy, President (Automotive) Schaeffler India and MD of the INA Bearings and LuK said.

Schaeffler is a provider of rolling bearing and plain bearing solutions for linear and direct drive technology, as well as a supplier of precision products and systems for engines, transmissions and chassis applications for the auto industry.

The company has fitted an existing B- segment car with drive train features that it says helps achieve up to 10% reduction in fuel consumption. It was displayed at an exhibition in Pune On Monday.

It is a spacious car and has all kinds of advanced features like an auto lock, inbuilt black glass pane so that it will be comfortable for both the passengers as well as the drivers

This car is ideal for a long drive and for a long distance as it is very powerful and has super tires and the seats can be stretched at the back so that any one can sleep.

New Volkswagen Vento is an extended version of the hatchback Volkswagen Polo, which is equipped with several advanced features. The vehicle is manufactured at Volkswagen’s new factory at Chakan in Pune.

Volkswagen Vento comes in both petrol and diesel versions. Both the engines are same as used in new VW polo i.e. 1.6 L petrol and diesel engines. The diesel engine produces a max torque of 250 Nm and the petrol engine generates 153 Nm of top torque while both diesel and petrol engines deliver peak power of 105 PS. The car is introduced in India with manual and automatic transmission.

The engine of Volkswagen Vento is claimed to provide a mileage of 11.2 kmpl in the city and 15.83 kmpl on the highway. The price of new sedan ranges between Rs 6.95 lakh to Rs 9.25 lakh across the country.

Volkswagen Vento is available in variety of colours including Candy White, Flash Red, Reflex Silver Metallic, Deep Black Pearl, Shadow Blue Metallic and Terra Beige Metallic. The car will give direct competition to Honda City, Fiat Linea, Hyundai Verna and Ford Fiesta.

The Japan based car manufacturer, Nissan is going to unveil its latest mid-size SUV, Nissan Murano in India. The Nissan Murano SUV is expected to hit Indian roads this year. The car was first introduced in December 2002 and sold as a 2003 model. It was nominated for the North American Truck of the year award for 2003 and also named the best premium mid-size SUV by AutoPacific.

The Nissan Murano is an eye-caching vehicle that brings a stunning look, jaw dropping features and captivating style. The interior of the car offers a combination of class & comfort, and seats five passengers. It includes a number of advanced features such as push button start and improved navigation system, which has hard drive recognition as well as voice recognition system among other features.

The Nissan Murano is loaded with 3.5L, 24-valve, SOHC, V6 petrol engine that can produce a peak power of 265 bhp at 6000 rpm and delivers max torque of 334 Nm at 4400 rpm with the help of CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). Murano runs on an average of 23 mpg on the highway.

The new Chevrolet Volt is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle manufactured by General Motors. Chevrolet Volt has been on sale in US market since mid-December 2010 and hits the UK in late 2011. The car will be soon in India and China.

The Chevrolet Volt is a hatchback model and will come with stunning looks and impressive interiors. The interiors of the vehicle offer spacious accommodation for 4 and has got much advanced features than other hybrids in Indian market. It also includes features like star mobile application that enables the user to perform several functions via a smart phone.

The Chevrolet Volt is powered by lithium-ion battery, which can be recharged by plugging into the mains. The car battery gets fully charged in just 8 hours in normal voltage of 120V. If the car is put on voltage of 240V, the charging time is reduced to three hours. The Volt is equipped with a 4-cylinder, 1.4L petrol engine so that the driver can easily switch between the two as per his requirement.

Chevrolet Volt features a low sloping roof-line, a high belt-line, aggressive window shape, winking headlights and some conventional features. The price of five-door is estimated more than Rs 34 lakh.
