The Maruti Omni is a Multi Utility Van, which has performed the roles of a people-mover, courier delivery vehicle, as well as an ambulance. Maruti Omni is a basic, fuel efficient family transport and is more popular among big Indian families.
Maruti Omni can be classified into two categories – Family version and Cargo version. The family version is available in 5-seater and 8-seater. The 5-seater version is ideal for individuals who require travel long distance. The 8-seater version has two extra seats directly behind the front seating, which face towards the rear of the van. Both 5-seater and 8-seater versions have been provided with sliding back doors and hatchbacks. On the other hand, cargo variants do not feature back seats.
Maruti Omni comes equipped with a 3-cylinder 796cc and 4-valve petrol engine that has been well encoded on to the MPFI (Multi-point Fuel Injection) platform. The gasoline engine is capable to deliver max power of 35 bhp at 5000 rpm along with a top torque of 60 Nm at 3000 rpm. Maruti Omni is also available in LPG version.
The price of Maruti Omni ranges between Rs. 2 lakh to 2.8 lakh.
