Hyundai i40

The Hyundai i40 is a large family car built by South Korean manufacturer Hyundai Motor Company. World’s fourth largest car manufacturer had unveiled Hyundai i40 concept at the international automotive event, Geneva Motor Show 2011.

The Hyundai i40 is initially designed for the European markets but the car is likely to be launch in India by the end of this year. In India, it will give a tough competition to New Honda Accord, Ford Mondeo, Volkswagen Passat and Toyota Camry. During its development phase, the i40 concept was known by the codename “VF”.

Hyundai i40 is expected to be available in both petrol and diesel variants. Petrol variant

will come loaded with an advanced 2.0 L direct-injection, 4-cylinder engine which will capable to deliver max power of 170 hp and 213 Nm of torque while diesel unit will be equipped with 1.7 L turbo diesel engine that generates peak power ranging between 115 hp and 136 hp along with torque of 330 Nm.

The petrol engine of Hyndai i40 will deliver an overall mileage of around 19-21 kmpl whereas diesel version will offer mileage of around 20-22 kmpl.

The expected price of the Hyundai i40 will swing between Rs. 14 lakh and Rs. 16 lakh.

The company showcased new Hyundai Sonata at the Auto Expo 2012, which was organized in January at New Delhi.

Hyundai Sonata sedan has been blessed with several features, including high intensity Xenon headlamps, ten way adjustable power seat, paddle shift, front seat warmers, traction control system, six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, smart key entry and many more.

The new fluidic Hyndai Sonata sedan comes loaded with a powerful 2.4 L of GDI petrol engine, which can deliver 198 bhp of peak power at 6300 rpm along with 25.5 kgm of top torque at 4250 rpm. The engine is further mated with 6 speed automatic and manual transmission with paddle shifter, depending on the model. It gives a decent fuel efficiency of 13.5 kmpl from manual transmission, while 12 kmpl of mileage is delivered by automatic transmission.

New Hyundai Sonata sedan will be available in four different shades – Crystal White, Sleek Silver, Sliky Beige and Black Diamond. The variant with the manual transmission has been priced at Rs 18.53 lakh while the variant with automatic transmission has been priced at Rs 20.61 lakh.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd has launched the new Hyundai Sonata sedan in the Indian market. The variant with manual transmission will be available at Rs 18,52,979 while the model with automatic transmission will be available with the price tag of Rs 20,61,272. The car was showcased at the Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi.

The petrol engine is mated with the 6 speed automatic and manual transmission with paddle shifters. The engine gives a decent fuel efficiency of 13.5 kmpl from version with manual transmission while 12 kmpl from variant with automatic transmission.

New Hyundai Sonata has an impressive exteriors as well as comfortable and chic interiors. The car comes in four shades, including Icy Blue, Silky Beige, Diamond Black and Space Silver.

The Managing Director and CEO of Hyundai India H W Park unveiled the EON in Tamil Nadu.
