Hyundai Motors is all set to reintroduce its stylish and posh sedan in Indian market, the 2012 Hyundai Elantra, which was showcased at the 2012 Auto Expo in New Delhi. The price of Hyundai Elantra will fall in the bracket of Rs. 13 lakh to Rs. 16 lakh. The car looks good and will give a tough competition to its rivals like Honda Civic, Skoda Laura, Volkswagen Jetta and so on.
The new 2012 Hyundai Elantra targets the youngsters of the country within the age of 30 to 40 year. The vehicle is also known as Hyundai Avante in North America and Lantra in Australia and some European markets.
New Hyundai Elantra is available in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol version of the car comes loaded with 1.8 litre of Dual VTVT engine that is capable to deliver max power of 146 bhp and generates max torque of 182 Nm, which makes the car fuel efficient. The engine is coupled with both 6-speed manual and automatic gear box. On the other hand, diesel version has 1.6L of CRDi VGT engine, which produces 126 bhp of power.
The Hyundai Elantra can deliver excellent mileage of 13 kmpl and can attain a top speed of 190 kmph.
