The US based car manufacturer General Motors is going to introduce the fifth generation of its luxury sports sedan, the Chevrolet Camero. It is expected that the Chevrolet Camero will be launched in the Indian auto market by the end of this year. The concept of the new car is based on the new GM Zeta Platform and has been awarded as “The Best in Show” car.
The Chevrolet Camero is classified as a pony car and a concept of Camaro model was showcased at the 10th Delhi International Auto Expo in January 2010. The car is expected to be available in two types of engines including 3.6L V6 petrol engine and 6.2L V8 engine both with 6 speed gearbox. The 3.6L V6 engine produces the max power of 312hp at 6500 rpm with the max torque of 278 Nm at 5100 rpm while the second engine churns out the max power of 426bhp at 5900 rpm with the top torque of 278 Nm at 5100 rpm.
The expected price of the Chevrolet Camero will fall in the range of Rs 25 to 30 lakh and will compete with the sedans of BMW, Mercedes and Audi. It is not only stylish and comfortable but also completely safe in every aspect.
