Tata Motors announced to introduce its new luxury sedan – the Tata Prima. This luxury sedan was showcased first time at 79th Geneva Motor Show 2009 where it attracted many auto buyers and enthusiasts.

Tata Prima sedan is based on the company’s popular Tata Indigo and the designing is done by famous Italian car design company “Pininfarina”, which also has designed world’s popular cars including Ferrari Enzo, Ferrari Mythos and some Volvo cars.

Initially, the Tata Prima is supposed to be launched in both diesel and petrol versions, carrying 1.8L and 1.6L engines respectively. The petrol engine will be able to deliver max power of 100 bhp while the petrol engine will produce 120 bhp of peak power. The new sedan will be available in the price range of Rs 12 lacs to 15 lacs.

The company claims that the wheelbase of Tata Prima would be 2700mm which provides ample interior space. Exterior of the car looks amazing with traditional Tata inputs. Prima will include an advance transmission technology along with a range of performance enhancing features. The car is still in the development stage, thus it will be too early to predict about the performance and mileage.

The Skoda Fabia Combi is available in both petrol and diesel engine options and expected for the same in India. The petrol engine will have 8 valve 4 cylinder and the diesel engine might have two options – 1.2 TDI and 1.6 TDI. The engine can produce max power of 55 kw.

The Skoda Fabia Combi is a great combination of great features and stylish looks. It is longer by 7 mm and taller by 46 mm. The new model provides the users even better comfort and more space for the luggage than its predecessor. The car will compete with Chevrolet Petra SRV and Tata Indigo Marine.

The Skoda Fabia Combi will come with eye-catching fit and finish. It also features front grille with the traditional design, new design headlamps, vertical bars and Skoda logo. It is also loaded with the latest active and safety features including dual front airbags, 3-point safety belts, ESP and ABS, ISOFIX child seats and a fuel flow interruption system.
